See the dose steps in the label for your medicine as dates from your start day, or check what the label says to do about a missed dose. Mounjaro, Ozempic, Rybelsus, Saxenda, and the Wegovy pen and pill, as sold in the UAE.

How this works
A label is the official information approved for a medicine: the summary for doctors and the leaflet in the pack. Section 4.2 of each summary sets out the starting dose, how and when the dose goes up, and what to do about a missed dose. This tool turns that section into dates.
UAE leaflets aren't published online. Each medicine is approved for use in the UAE, but the closest public text is the European (EU) label from the European Medicines Agency, so every rule here comes from it and says so. The leaflet in your own pack is the one that applies to you; if it says something different, follow your pack and your doctor.
Most GLP‑1 medicines start low and go up in steps, because side effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea are more common while the dose is rising. Some steps are fixed in the label. Others happen only if your doctor decides you need them, for example more blood-sugar control on Ozempic. The planner marks those with "only if your doctor decides", and shows the earliest date the label would allow them.
Foundayo is approved in the UAE, but there's no UAE or EU label for it online to check its schedule against, so it isn't in this tool. Follow the leaflet in your pack.7
What each label says about a missed dose
Quoted from the current EU labels, checked 14 Oct 2026.
- Mounjaro“If a dose is missed, it should be administered as soon as possible within 4 days after the missed dose. If more than 4 days have passed, skip the missed dose and administer the next dose on the regularly scheduled day. In each case, patients can then resume their regular once weekly dosing schedule.”Mounjaro EU label, section 4.24
- Ozempic“If a dose is missed, it should be administered as soon as possible and within 5 days after the missed dose. If more than 5 days have passed, the missed dose should be skipped, and the next dose should be administered on the regularly scheduled day. In each case, patients can then resume their regular once weekly dosing schedule.”Ozempic EU label, section 4.22
- Rybelsus“If a dose is missed, the missed dose should be skipped and the next dose should be taken the following day.”Rybelsus EU label, section 4.23
- Saxenda“If a dose is missed within 12 hours from when it is usually taken, the patient should take the dose as soon as possible. If there is less than 12 hours to the next dose, the patient should not take the missed dose and resume the once-daily regimen with the next scheduled dose. An extra dose or increase in dose should not be taken to make up for the missed dose.”Saxenda EU label, section 4.25
- Wegovy pen“If a dose is missed, it should be administered as soon as possible and within 5 days after the missed dose. If more than 5 days have passed, the missed dose should be skipped, and the next dose should be administered on the regularly scheduled day. In each case, patients can then resume their regular once weekly dosing schedule. If more doses are missed, reducing the starting dose for re-initiation should be considered.”Wegovy EU label, section 4.21
- Wegovy pill“If a dose is missed, the missed dose should be skipped, and the next dose should be taken the following day.”Wegovy tablets EU label, section 4.21
What this can't tell you
- The right dose for you, or when you should move up. Your doctor decides that, and may go slower than the label or keep you on a dose.
- What to do if you've switched medicines, or what your own UAE pack leaflet says if it differs from the EU label.
- How to time tablets or injections around Ramadan fasting. Plan that with your doctor before Ramadan starts.
- Anything for children and teens. The schedules shown are the adult ones.
- Whether a symptom is serious. If you have severe stomach pain that won't go away, with or without vomiting, get medical help. In an emergency, call 998 for an ambulance, or 999.8
Questions people ask
I missed my Wegovy or Ozempic injection. How long do I have?
The EU labels for both say to inject the missed dose as soon as possible within 5 days after it was due. If more than 5 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day. For Wegovy, the label adds that if more doses are missed, a lower starting dose should be considered for restarting, so talk to your doctor before restarting.1,2
I missed my Mounjaro dose. How long do I have?
The EU label says to inject it as soon as possible within 4 days after it was due. If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day. Keep at least 3 days between two doses.4
I missed my Saxenda injection. What does the label say?
If it's within 12 hours of your usual time, inject it as soon as you remember. If more than 12 hours have passed, skip it and inject your next dose the following day at the usual time. Don't take a double dose or a bigger dose to make up for it.5
What if I missed a Wegovy pill or a Rybelsus tablet?
The EU labels say to skip the missed dose and take your normal dose the next day. Take only one tablet a day.1,3
Do I have to move up a dose on the dates shown?
No. The dates are the label's schedule: the earliest each step is allowed. Your doctor may go slower, keep you on a dose, or choose a lower maintenance dose, and some steps happen only if your doctor decides. Never change your dose without talking to them.
Is anything I enter saved or sent?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored, and the calendar file is made on your device.
