How this works
A label is the official prescribing information the FDA approves for each medicine. Section 2 of every label sets out the starting dose, how and when the dose goes up, and what to do about a missed dose. This tool turns that section into dates. The data for each medicine sits in one block on this page, with the label section it came from.
Most GLP‑1 medicines start low and go up in steps, because side effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea are more common while the dose is rising. The labels say so in section 2.1,3 Each step lasts at least a set time: 4 weeks for the weekly injections, 30 days for the daily pills, 1 week for Saxenda.
Some steps are fixed in the label. Others happen only if your prescriber decides you need them, for example more blood-sugar control on Ozempic or Mounjaro. The planner marks those with "only if your prescriber decides", and shows the earliest date the label would allow them.
What each label says about a missed dose
Quoted or closely paraphrased from the current US labels, checked Oct 14, 2026.
- Foundayo“If a dose is missed, instruct patients to take the dose as soon as possible. Advise patients not to double up the next dose. What this can't tell you
- The right dose for you, or when you should move up. Your prescriber decides that, and may go slower than the label or keep you on a dose.
- What to do if you've switched medicines, use a different form (such as vials), or take other medicines that change the dose. Foundayo, for example, has a lower top dose with some other medicines.7
- Anything for children and teens. The schedules shown are the adult ones.
- Whether a symptom is serious. If you have severe stomach pain that won't go away, with or without vomiting, get medical help. In an emergency, call 911.
Questions people ask
I missed my Wegovy shot. What does the label say?
The US Wegovy label says: if one dose is missed and the next scheduled dose is more than 2 days away, take it as soon as possible. If the next dose is less than 2 days away, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day. If you miss doses for 2 or more weeks in a row, contact your healthcare provider to talk about how to restart, because the label says to restart the dose steps at a lower dose.1
I missed my Zepbound or Mounjaro dose. How long do I have?
Both US labels say to take the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days (96 hours) after it was due. If more than 4 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day, then carry on once a week.4,5
I missed my Ozempic dose. How long do I have?
The US Ozempic label says to take it as soon as possible within 5 days after the missed dose. If more than 5 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day.2
Do I have to move up a dose on the dates shown?
No. The dates are the label's schedule: the earliest each step is allowed. Your prescriber may go slower, keep you on a dose, or choose a lower maintenance dose, and some steps happen only if your prescriber decides. Never change your dose without talking to them.
What if I missed a Wegovy pill, Rybelsus or Ozempic tablet?
The US labels say to skip the missed dose and take the next dose the following day. Don't take more than one tablet a day.1,3
Is anything I enter saved or sent?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored, and the calendar file is made on your device.
