Open data: GLP‑1 prices by country

Each country's price table as a CSV file: every GLP‑1 medicine and dose sold there, with the official price of a pack, what it comes to a month and a year, the approved uses, the source of each price and the date we checked it.

The short answer

Download any table below. It's free to reuse under CC BY 4.0: cite GLP Guidebook with the page URL. The figures are official, list or maker self-pay prices only, never a seller's discount, and they're grouped by medicine, not ranked by price.

There is no table for Australia: the regulator's guidance treats showing medicine prices to the public as likely advertising, so the Australian guides don't show them.

What each file contains

One row per dose (in the US, one per dose and price type). UTF‑8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel shows French, German and Arabic text correctly. Text is in the country page's language.

  • country: ISO country code
  • molecule, brand, form: the medicine, the name on the box, and how it's taken
  • dose and pack: the strength, and what the price buys (for example a pen of 4 weekly doses)
  • price and currency: the price of that pack; empty where no official price is published; two figures joined by a hyphen are a published range
  • per_month and per_year: a year is 52 weeks (52 weekly doses or 364 days); a month is the year divided by 12. In the US, weekly medicines are 13 fills of 4 doses a year and daily ones 12 fills of 30 days. These are the same figures as each country's cost calculator
  • price_type: what kind of price it is (MRP, NHS list price, maker self-pay price, official pharmacy price and so on)
  • approved_uses: what the medicine is approved for in that country
  • source and date_checked: where each price comes from, and when we checked it. Pharmacy listings are cited without naming the seller

Prices change. Each country page shows when we checked and when we check next; use the figures with that date. They're general information, not medical or financial advice.

How the prices are chosen

Every figure comes from an official or list price, or the maker's regular self-pay price: never a seller's discount, a coupon or a conditional price. Sellers are never named or linked, and the tables are never sorted by price. How we show prices.
